Highlights of Gujarat“Jain Samaj 2020-Sampark Yatra”

Surat :-The meeting at Surat was at the Umara Police Station Auditorium on April 02 at 8 pm.. Shri Shantilalji flew in from Valsad in a helicopter in the afternoon of 02 April. As before the auditorium was filled to capacity. The audience comprised mainly of dignitaries from the industry: industrialists, diamond merchants, builders, etc as also prominent educationists, doctors, chartered accountants and other professionals from the community. The response to the programmes and activities of BJS was tremendous. Shri Sanjaybhai Shah and Shri Rajeshbhai Mehta, our local coordinators made very good arrangements befitting the audience profile.

Bhavnagar :- Shri Shantilalji flew into the cultural capital of Gujarat, as Bhavnagar is known, on the morning of April 03, 2008 and drove straight to the venue, the Dada Saheb Aradhana Hall. The response was overwhelming from the audience which was represented by all sampradayas of the community. What was very noticeable was that the audience was made up of all demographics, the young and the elderly; from students of standard VIII to respected stalwarts, 90years old and of both genders. Amongst the audience was the the local MLA Mrs Vibhawari Dave and also respected Sadhu Pannyasji and 4 Jain Sadhus They listened with complete attention to every word spoken. The Sadhus gave their blessings to Shri Shantilalji on his noble mission and also to the audience. Every one of the 900 audience remained seated till the end of the meeting.. The arrangements made by Shri Sanjaybhai Thar, our local co-ordinator , were excellent.

Rajkot :- Shri Shantilalji flew in from Bhavnagar on the same day, April 03, 2008 to Rajkot, to conduct the second meeting of the day. The meeting was scheduled at 8 pm at Atmiya Engineering College Auditorium. The auditorium was filled to its capacity of 450 with not a seat to spare. The audience comprised of top authorities from Rajkot as well as from the neighbouring areas of Junagadh, Morbi, Gondal, etc. The audience was very receptive and taken up by the heartfelt speech. The programme generated a lot of enthusiasm for the programmes of BJS. Shri Sanjaybhai Mehta and Shri Rashmikant Modi , our local coordinators made splendid arrangement and was a very gracious .
